After the endless parade of Subarus, it was nice to find this...

This is what we found behind Ken Block's trailer.

Ken Block

On track to win his lucky seventh 100 Acre Wood Rally is Ken Block at the end of day 1.

100 Acre Wood Rally 2014, Day 1

We met a lot a cool folks representing the blue oval in impressive fashion. There were the Sherrys who are reasonably local, making the trek up from Arkansas with their SVT Focus. There was Mevludi Meladze from Gorgia (the country not the state) driving a Zetec powered Aspire. There was also the WIlliams Brothers (Kyle and Zach) who grew up in the area. They were running a Festiva which, on the last stage of the day, thought they were out of the race, due to fueling issues. Turned out, it was just a loose plug wire. They are back in it tomorrow.

Ken Block Returns to Reclaim Title in the Woods

Last month we received some discouraging news that Ken Block would not be able to contend in the the complete 2014 Rally America Championship. Further more, he would miss more than half of the total events. It seems however, that there is a soft spot in his heart for the woodlands of Missouri. It was recently announced that he would compete for the title that he has won more times than any other driver. Welcome back to the 100 Acre Wood Rally, Mr. Block. Subi's be damned!!!!
